About Us

Read our story and find out more about how and why we produce 100% pasture fed beef.

Our Story

We are first generation tenant farmers on a hill farm in Crai at the Western end of the Brecon Beacons National Park.

We keep Belted Galloway cattle because they are a hardy hill cow which suits the area we farm. They are famous worldwide for their wonderful tasting beef. Due to their small stature the Beltie does not require any supplementary feed, our cattle eat pasture all summer and are fed only silage through the winter.

The ground here where our cattle are free to roam runs up to 1700ft above sea level. Alongside our herd of ‘Belties’ we run a flock of Brecknock Hill Cheviots on the Western Great Forest and a ground flock of Swaledale ewes breeding North Country Mules.

We keep a herd of pedigree Belted Galloways on a 100% pasture fed system and we sell all of our beef direct to the consumer.

Press & Recognition

We appeared on BBC’s Countryfile programme in 2017, which featured 100% pasture fed meat and the benefits for both the consumer and the environment. Our beef – along with that of several other producers – was put to a taste test with outstanding results!

The programme was a great opportunity for us to showcase Bryn Belted Galloway Beef and generated unprecedented interest in our meat.
